An extraordinary parking structure sits at the corner of one of downtown Austin’s highest profile projects to date, a waterfront development that transformed industrial land adjacent to Lady Bird Lake into a vibrant mixed-use core. In collaboration with architectural firms, Solomon Cordwell Buenz and The Hanover Company, Hendrick developed the metal panels outfitting the garage.
Made from 3/16" thick aluminum, the panels consist of 1 3/4" round holes on 4" straight centers. This pattern equates to a 15% open area. Over 850 clear anodized panels were supplied by Hendrick, consisting of 140 unique sizes. With the largest panels spanning over 13 feet in length.
