Perforated Metal Cladding in Philadelphia, PA
Hamilton Court Amenity Building
Project Location: University City, PA
Perforation Pattern: .750" dia. holes | 21% open area
Architect: Coscia Moos Architecture
Found within the central courtyard of a seven-building apartment complex in University City, Philadelphia, distinctly sits the Hamilton Court Amenity building. Designers at Coscia Moos Architecture called for the building’s second floor to be mostly clad with faceted, perforated panels from Hendrick.
The one-of-a-kind design features .190" thick aluminum panels with .750" diameter perforations. The 21% open area provides optimal heat and light, and supports the building’s energy performance. Hendrick incorporated a multitude of various hat channels, z channels and angle brackets to attach the panels to the steel framing. Coated in a dark bronze color, the panels’ anodized finish exhibits superior color consistency and abrasion resistance properties.
