Perforated Metal Cladding for Parking Garages
Memorial West Parking Garage
Project Location: Pembroke Pines, FL
Perforation Pattern: 2" dia. holes | 61% open area
Architect: HKS Architects
Constructed on the Memorial Hospital West Campus in Pembroke Pines, Florida, the seven story parking structure provides over 1500 additional parking spaces to the busy campus. HKS Architects favored Hendrick’s H-CLAD® heavy duty cladding system and perforated panels to meet the project’s specifications.
Manufactured from .190" thick aluminum, the perforated panels feature 2" diameter holes on 2-7/16" staggered spacing for a 61% open area. This panel system utilized concealed fasteners to attach to the aluminum sub-framing and was designed to withstand hurricane force winds up to 165mph. H-CLAD’s dead load and slip connections allow for independent floor movement of the parking garage. Finished with a PVDF coating, the perforated metal cladding system is guaranteed to be looking fresh for years to come even in this extreme coastal environment.
